Built in 1969 on the University of Houston campus, the 8500 seat Hofheinz Pavilion was home to the U of H Cougar basketball team. For a while, in the 70's, Hofheinz was a big venue for rock concerts. It was a great concert hall and many major acts played there. Concerts kind of tapered off after the Summit opened but it would be great if they returned. | ![]() |
